Description
Ventolin is used to treat breathing problems in patients who have asthma or other airway diseases. Ventolin successfully treats bronchospasms in patients with reversible obstructive airway disease and helps to prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm.
How To Take
Prime the inhaler before using it for the first time or if you haven’t used it for over 2 weeks by spraying 4 test sprays into the air. Shake well before each spray. Breathe out fully before putting the mouthpiece into your mouth. Close your lips and breathe in slowly while pushing down on the canister. Hold your breath for 10 seconds, then breathe out slowly.
Precaution
Never use Ventolin if you are allergic to any ingredient it contains or if you are currently using another sympathomimetic medicine such as pseudoephedrine, except for a bronchodilator inhaler. Make sure to consult with a specialist before taking Ventolin if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, if you allergic to medicines, foods or other substances. Don’t forget to inform your healthcare provider of all prescription or nonprescription medicines and food supplements you are currently taking. Ventolin may not be suitable for patients who have a history of seizures, metabolic diseases such as diabetes, kidney problems, or an adrenal gland tumor. Side effects: Common side effects include headache, dizziness, nervousness, sleeping disorders,muscle pain, upset stomach. Serious and rare side effects include wheezing, chest tightness, trouble breathing), chest pain and uneven heart beats, tremors.
